I am a visual learner and I love to color in the adult coloring books. So I really enjoy the coloring pages. This book gives advice about creating fun-schooling baskets along with pictures of prepared baskets for those of us who need the pictures to fully "get" the idea. As well as making a mom-time basket. Before getting these journals I had never thought about a mom basket or making one but I have done it and I love my mom basket. Seeing my mom basket has helped me to remember to at least try and make time to sit down and use my basket. I'm working on sitting down with my kids and working in my book while they work in theirs. Through out the book there are quotes from other homeschooling moms which I love to read and find very inspiring. I have only been working in this book for about a week but I truly enjoy it and think I will continue as it really gets me thinking about my home and my homeschool as I journal my thoughts and color. - Homeschooling Mom The Mom's Fun Schooling Handbook is an awesome book written just for Moms by a Special Mom. This book is not like your ordinary planner or journal. There are awesome quotes/tips filling almost every page that you must read by dedicated homeschooling Moms like yourself. Book Description
The mere thought of homeschooling can be overwhelming. What curriculum do I choose? What if we can’t afford all the books? How do I schedule our time? Will my children become socially awkward recluses? What if I screw up my kids’ education?! Lorilee Lippincott, a seasoned homeschooling mom, shows just how simple homeschooling can be. She and her husband taught their two kids in a one-bedroom apartment before picking up and moving the whole family to China. They’ve discovered that they don’t need rooms full of books, educational toys, and other teaching tools, nor do they need schedules packed full of extracurricular activities, field trips, and social events. Perhaps even more importantly, they don’t need to panic about making sure their kids turn out okay. It’s actually all pretty simple, she tells readers. But homeschooling well does require some planning and dedication, and a book like The Homeschooling Handbook to be your guide. Here you’ll find all your questions answered in Lippincott’s straightforward, warm, and witty style. Topics covered include: How to instill curiosity and a love of learning Types of homeschooling Your socialization fears assuaged How to create simple schedules and stick to them Tips for keeping costs down Teaching kids with disabilities The benefits of play time Legal requirements How to avoid burnout And much more! Full of anecdotes, interviews with other homeschooling families, and wisdom, this is a must-have for any family considering the homeschooling life.

Book Description
The Handbook for Catholic Moms, Lisa M. Hendey’s eminently practical and award-winning resource, has helped new parents balance and integrate the deeply personal needs of their hearts, minds, bodies, and souls with the demands of family life and faith commitment. Since the first edition was published in 2010, it’s become an indispensable resource for two generations of Catholic moms, offering a unique perspective on all aspects of life and honest advice from fellow moms on topics ranging from marriage and finances to stress management and parish life. The Handbook for Catholic Moms is not a typical parenting book: It doesn’t offer tips for calming a fussy baby or dealing with adolescent angst. In caring for yourself—heart, mind, body, and soul—you can better love and care for your family, community, and Church, according to Lisa M. Hendey, founder of CatholicMom.com and bestselling author of The Book of Saints for Catholic Moms and The Grace of Yes. Hendey provides her personal stories and observations on a number of topics, including: stress reduction and sleep nurturing your marriage engaging in Mass as a family modeling lifelong learning to your children balancing your career with your vocation as a mother Each chapter includes relevant scripture references, quotations from saints or noted Catholic figures, commentary and perspectives from other Catholic writers, and checklists of suggested steps moms can take in bringing better balance and integration to their lives.
